Meet designer Loren Aragonof ACONAV

In partnership with the Brooks Museum, Native American artist and fashion designer Loren Aragon will join for a special artist talk entitled Evoke Empowerment: Celebrating Matrilineal Strength.  Aragon and his wife Valentina co-founded ACONAV, a couture fashion brand based in Phoenix, Arizona that celebrates the strength and empowerment of women through designs that tie culture to modern style.  The artists’ talk will express the meaning behind his brand's statement of #EvokeEmpowerment, covering the ideas that stem from his Acoma Pueblo heritage and views of these ideas as they apply to existing in the modern world.
